ZTE, French Telecom Extend Partnership to R&D
December 09, 2005
China's ZTE and France Telecom have established a long-term research and development partnership, a breakthrough from their existing supplier-buyer relationships. French Telecom's research lab in Beijing will take charge of major research and development activities, initially on the development of Linux-based 3G smartphones. The cooperation is not only intended to promote French Telecom's comprehension of the Asian market, thereby enabling more precise decision-making for the global telecom market, but also is hoped to improve ZTE's understanding of European clients, thus strengthening its position in Europe.
